Past Exhibit and the Primo Bartolini Collection
Ken Fieth (left) with Matteo Brera and the Bartolini Collection at the Metro Archives. June 2018.

Ken Fieth (Metropolitan Archivist) and Dr. Brera, with the newly acquired Bartolini Papers. Thanks to Ken, the collection is now housed at the Archives on Church Street and available for consultation.

Without Ken's enthusiasm and dedication to preserve Nashville and Davidson County's past, the exhibit and all of its related inititatives would simply not have been possible.

Here I also wish to thank Kelley Sirko, Nashville Metro Archives' Program Coordinator, who liaised with the donor during the acquisition phase, processed the collection and contributed to the curation of the physical exhibit in November 2018.

Back to front in the picture: Colon L Richardson, Jr (Virginia's spouse), Virginia P Richardson (Primo Bartolini's Granddaughter), Amy A Richardson (Robert's Spouse), Robert L Richardson (Primo Bartolini's Great Grandson), Maria R Lassiter (Primo Bartolini's Great Granddaughter), Shawn F Lassiter (Maria's Spouse).

These lovely people came all the way from Asheboro (NC) to Nashville (TN) to visit the exhibit on Primo Bartolini.

They are posing before the main expo cabinet in the corridor leading to the Metro Archives, while another section of the physical exhibit was installed in the West Reading Room of the Nashville Public Library.

Virginia (second from the back in the picture) is Primo Bartolini's granddaughter and it's only thanks to her kindness and love for her family's heritage that the exhibit was made possible.

Virginia immediately and wholeheartedly committed to donate what her mother Francesca had left her, namely unique documents of a largely forgotten man and his Italian American experience.
